Laser Hair Removal

How does it work?

Laser hair removal is the most effective solution for removing unwanted hair. It works by using a concentrated beam of light to target and destroy hair follicles. The heat from the laser damages the hair follicle, inhibiting future hair growth.

Over multiple sessions, the hair follicles are progressively weakened, resulting in long-term hair reduction. It is important to note that laser hair removal is most effective on individuals with dark hair and light skin, as the laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle.

What are the benefits?

Precision

Laser hair removal targets specific hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged, resulting in precise and effective hair removal.

Speed

Each laser pulse takes only a fraction of a second and can target several hairs at once, making the treatment a quick and efficient option for hair removal.

Long-Lasting Results

Laser hair removal offers long-lasting hair reduction, with many patients experiencing permanent hair loss in the treated area after several sessions.

Reduced Ingrown Hairs

Laser hair removal can help to reduce the occurrence of ingrown hairs, which can be a common problem with other hair removal methods such as shaving and waxing.

FAQ's

Is it painful?

Laser hair removal can cause some discomfort, but the level of pain experienced varies from person to person. Most individuals describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin.

How many sessions will I need?

We always suggest a booking a course of 6 sessions and then we can assess the progress and see if you need any further sessions. It is also the most cost effective way to book as you save a massive 40% when you book a course of 6 treatments.

Will the hair grow back?

While some hair may regrow after the initial treatment sessions, it is typically finer and lighter in colour. Maintenance sessions may be required to target any regrowth and achieve long-lasting results. It is important to note that individual results may vary, and factors such as hormonal changes and genetics can influence the regrowth of hair after laser hair removal.

How soon will I see results?

Most patients start to see a reduction in hair growth after the first session. You may find that the hair slowly grows back but is much finer. After 5 or 6 sessions you may notice that only a few hairs have grown back, and it is very patchy. These final few hairs will get zapped at the next session until there is nothing left. To maintain the skin’s smoothness, we recommend a top up session very 2-3 months or as requited.

Do I have to shave before my appointment?

It is generally recommended to shave the area to be treated a day or two before your laser hair removal appointment. This allows the laser to target the hair follicles more effectively without the interference of long hair on the surface of the skin.
